Today we went to church as usual but something happened that made me smile and I'll admit get a little teary. My brother was leading the service today since the pastors were away. We were singing the chorus.."To be like Jesus, this hope possesses me.." and Andrew looked up at me with a bright glimmer in his eye and smile on his face and said "To be like Jesus.....To be like Jesus. That's it! That's what I want to be."It goes to show that kids can teach us a thing or two. We make everything so complicated which is why they often seem to get it better than we do. Keep your ears open because you just may learn something........

A good friend of mine once told me that He is a good place to start. He will he never fail. We tend to overthink, overanalyse and overcomplicate life. Andrew reminds us that life really doesn't have to be that difficult.
I would say that this friend sounds wise but I suspect they told you that because they have done that themselves many times before and found it to be tried and true. It's not so much wisdom as it is returning to the firm foundation that never changes-no matter how much everything else may seem to.
Maybe its because I have just recently starting to build that foundation that I struggle so much. I just need to trust its strength and brick by brick I'll get there. It helps to have wise friends too!
