A funny thing happened on the way to church last Sunday for Father's Day. Andrew went a little earlier with Grammie and Papa as he often does so he could help Uncle Bill greet people at the door. When we pulled into the parking lot a few minutes later, Katie said..."there's Andrew, my best friend." I got Katie out of the car and after checking for other cars coming into the parking lot, told her she could go see Andrew. Well, it turned into a Chariots of Fire moment. Katie gave Andrew a big hug as though they hadn't seen each other in 20 years (more like 20 minutes) Katie took Andrew's hand, he walked her to the door but not before stopping at the curb to lift her up so she would not have to do it herself. Now that's service.
Since we're all nuts, it seemed the picture should be too!
It happened to be Father's day and the kids gave Dwayne a card with stickers they could each wear-it was cute. Andrew also made a bag of peanuts which said so aptly on the outside....I'm nuts about my DAD. Happy Father's Day Daddy!
